Beijing Daxing New Airport Project

Beijing Daxing International Airport (IATA: PKX, ICAO: ZBAD) is located at the junction of Yufa Town and Lixian Town in Daxing District, Beijing, and Jiuzhou Town in Guangyang District, Langfang City, Hebei Province, China. It is 46 kilometers north of Tiananmen Square, 67 kilometers north of Beijing Capital International Airport, 55 kilometers south of Xiong'an New Area, and about 640 meters west of Beijing Nanjiao Airport (enclosure distance). It is a 4F international airport, an international aviation hub, and a new source of national development.

On December 26, 2014, the construction of the Beijing New Airport project began; On September 14, 2018, the Beijing New Airport project was named "Beijing Daxing International Airport"; On September 25, 2019, Beijing Daxing International Airport was officially opened and Beijing Nanyuan Airport was officially closed; On October 27, 2019, the aviation port of Beijing Daxing International Airport was officially opened to the public. As of November 2024, the terminal area of Beijing Daxing International Airport is 780000 square meters, with 343 parking spaces on the civil aviation apron; There are 4 runways set up in the flight area, including 3 runways with a length of 3800 meters and 1 runway with a length of 3400 meters; It can meet the demand for an annual passenger throughput of 72 million, cargo and mail throughput of 2 million tons, and 620000 aircraft takeoffs and landings.  

As of July 27, 2025, Daxing Airport has guaranteed over 196000 inbound and outbound flights and transported 30.1497 million passengers, an increase of 8.86% compared to the same period last year.

By 2025, the passenger throughput of Daxing Airport will exceed 53 million. As of May 14, 2026, Daxing Airport has received and transported a total of 2012.05 million inbound and outbound passengers in 2026, an increase of 4.75% compared to the same period last year, surpassing the 20 million passenger mark six days ahead of schedule.

On March 29, 2026, execute the flight schedule for the summer and autumn seasons of 2026. Starting from April 1st, China Southern Airlines will collaborate with Beijing Daxing International Airport to launch the "Instant Boarding" service on all domestic flights departing from Beijing.
